Fermann pods can be fitted with a motion sensor for automatic lights and fans, lockable wheels, card, code or biometric access, a smart lock, switchable smart glass, a smoke sensor and sprinkler head, a camera and a safety hammer.
Smart sensor
A motion sensor switches lighting and ventilation on when someone enters and off when the pod is empty, which saves power and keeps fans from running all night.
Wheels
Lockable castors let facilities teams move a pod across the floor when the layout changes, without taking it apart.
Smart access
Card or code entry so a pod can be reserved or kept for a particular team, useful in coworking spaces and shared floors.
Biometric access
Fingerprint entry for pods used for confidential calls, legal work or HR conversations.
Smart glass
Switchable glass that turns from clear to frosted at the press of a button, for privacy during sensitive meetings.
Smart lock
A keypad and fingerprint lock on the pod door, for pods that hold equipment or are reserved for one person.
Smoke sensor and sprinkler head
A smoke detector and a sprinkler head inside the pod, for buildings where the landlord or civil defence requires fire detection and suppression in enclosed spaces.
Camera
A ceiling camera for pods used as unattended bookable rooms in public or shared spaces.
Safety hammer
An emergency glass-break hammer mounted inside the pod.
